About Your Maternity Photoshoot
Our goal at The Bee Tree Photography is creating classic and timeless photos highlighting you and your incredible pregnant body for you to treasure for a lifetime. We’ll guide you the whole way through ensuring you are in the most flattering gowns, poses, and lighting. Many of our maternity clients are shy or have never had professional photographs before, but rest assured we will help you pose from your fingers to your toes so you will never feel unsure of what to do. Our mission is to make you feel beautiful and radiant while having a memorable and fun experience!
Maternity photoshoots are best scheduled when you are between 30 and 35 weeks pregnant. Most clients book in their first trimester to guarantee their spot as we do sometimes book up months in advance. A $90 retainer reserves your date and the balance is due 48h before your session. You may photograph alone or have your partner and children join you. Even if you choose to be in the photos alone, we highly encourage moms-to-be to have their partner present to share in the experience (and to assist in dress tosses!).
All studio sessions take place in our studio here in the SF bay area, specifically the Green Valley area of Fairfield, California. We are central to San Francisco, Napa, and Sacramento. Our incredible studio boasts over 50 high-end designer couture maternity dresses and a variety of accessories available for use free to our maternity clients (so there is no additional cost to rent or buy your own). Our client closet is always growing, so be sure to frequently check out our client closet page.
Sessions last between 30 minutes to 1.5 hours depending on the package and if young children are included. Photoshoots are scheduled on Sundays at 3:30 and Mondays at 10:30am (hair and makeup is not included or provided on-site as an add-on but recommendations are listed in our prep guide, which is emailed upon booking).
We select the best image from each setup/look for each of our all-inclusive packages, which include high resolution digital copies (delivered via download through a private online gallery) perfect for sharing your pregnancy journey with friends on social media, sharing digitals with family, or purchasing prints & wall art for your home. Galleries are delivered within 2-3 weeks from the session date. There are no additional fees or in-person sales involved, but you are welcome to purchase additional prints and products à la carte through our partnering print labs with outstanding color, quality, and detail.

Our Timeless Package is the perfect mini session for celebrating you and your growing baby bump! This session is just for you (no partners or children) but partners are welcome to tag along- They make for fantastic assistants in gown tossing! Taking around 30-45 minutes, this in-studio session includes up to 3 dresses/looks from our extensive client closet full of couture gowns and accessories.

Our Heirloom Package will make you feel incredible! Giving you a wider variety of poses and setups, this package is perfect for just you or you & your partner (no children). If you choose to include your partner, you can decide if you would like to include them in one, two, or three of your 9 total images. Taking between 45 minutes to one hour, this in-studio session includes up to 5 dresses/looks.

Looking to create memories including your whole family? This Legacy Package includes a variety of setups celebrating your growing family. This package includes 2 images of you with your partner, 2 with you and your children 2 with your whole family together and 6 celebrating just you and your beautiful baby bump. Taking between 1-1.5 hours, this in studio session includes 5 dresses/looks.
